Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Each of us has been gifted uniquely for the purpose of sharing that gift with others. God made us for community. One of the first truths spoken in the Bible is that it is not good for man to be alone. We are better and stronger when we work together and in unity. Someone else has a gift we need, and we have a gift that they need.

All gifts are important and no one gift is “better” than another. Just because someone else has a gift that you wish you had, doesn’t mean you don’t have something important to offer this world. God creates everything and everyone for a purpose – including you.

Any gift we have should be used to serve and benefit others, not just ourselves. God himself did not withhold the greatest gift the world has ever seen by giving us his Son’s life to pay the price for our sins. What gifts have you been given and how are you using those gifts to serve those around you?

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
